Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company, has appointed Kunal Shah, founder of Indian fintech CRED, as the new Head of WhatsApp. Shah, who successfully scaled CRED to significant revenue and user growth, will take over from Will Cathcart, who is moving to a new role at Meta focused on future products. Meta is also investing in CRED as a minority shareholder.
