United States forces launched new airstrikes against Iran on President Donald Trump’s orders. These strikes aim to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping. The operation also retaliates for recent attacks on American service members in Jordan. The US Central Command confirmed the military action began at 6 p.m. ET. Iran has not yet issued any official comment on the developments.
