Dubai’s airports have seen a chocolate boom, with 2.5 million bars of locally made chocolates sold in the first half of 2025, generating Dh165 million in revenue. According to Dubai Duty Free CEO Ramesh Cidambi, this surge has significantly contributed to the local economy, as the majority of the earnings stay within the UAE through homegrown brands.
