As Tropical Storm Lala departed from Hawaii, it left a trail of destruction in its wake. Over one hundred homes were either damaged or completely destroyed by the relentless winds and heavy rains. In addition, approximately one hundred eighty-four thousand residents found themselves without power across the islands. Rescue operations are ongoing, with floodwaters and landslides making it difficult to reach isolated communities.
