TN govt scraps Parandur airport project, eyes new site; Chennai to get 5th terminal

 The proposed Parandur airport project has been officially dropped by the Tamil Nadu government. Chennai airport will now undergo expansion on its north-west side with a new terminal. This expansion aims to handle twenty million additional passengers annually. The fareless travel scheme for women will also be expanded to all government buses.
