In December 2025, human remains were identified as those of William Ott, a skilled hiker who vanished during his quest for ancient rock art in the Grand Canyon back in April 2012. The search for Ott concluded after his daypack was discovered nearby, containing personal items. Authorities used DNA testing to confirm his identity after years of searching for answers.
