‘Ran towards ballroom’: Volunteer recalls WH gunman assembled ‘long weapon’ in ‘makeshift room’

 A White House Correspondents’ Dinner volunteer reported the suspected gunman assembled a “long weapon” in an unsecured area near a terrace entrance before the attack. The suspect then moved toward the ballroom, firing shots and causing panic among guests and staff.
