A Pennsylvania woman received breast cancer treatment for 13 months before doctors discovered she had a rare and aggressive lymphoma. She died in January 2019, and her family sued the treating oncologist, alleging that the delayed diagnosis reduced her chances of survival. After a trial court dismissed the case, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that a jury should hear the malpractice claim.
