In a series of military operations in Balochistan province, Pakistan security forces took decisive action, leading to the death of seventy-five militants. This response came in the wake of fatal attacks on police and civilians blamed on the BLA. An earlier clash near Mangi Dam saw nine policemen and fifteen attackers dead. Prime Minister Sharif’s visit to Quetta promised justice and financial compensation for the bereaved families.
