Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra staged a protest near the Election Commission’s office, even as the EC said it had received no request from any political party seeking a meeting. Cong said they demanded a meeting to discuss alleged electoral irregularities and questioned Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The police intervened and detained several opposition leaders as the protest escalated.
