Shaw says the cuts were about restructuring an unhealthy Xbox business, not swapping American workers for foreign hires. The H-1B numbers doing the rounds, he clarified, are Microsoft-wide visa renewals, not Xbox-specific, and most of the roles eliminated weren’t American roles anyway.
