A 255-year-old mansion, Galloway House, was moved by a Maryland family to prevent it from being demolished. The structure traveled approximately 50 miles across the Chesapeake Bay after extensive planning and specialized equipment. Crews lifted the 400-ton house for a phased relocation that began in September 2019. After arriving at its new waterfront property in Queenstown, restoration efforts commenced to preserve its historic character.
