A former Canadian warship, HMCS Annapolis, now serves as an artificial reef. This vessel was deliberately sunk off British Columbia in 2015. Over five years, more than 170 marine species colonized the sunken ship. The artificial reef provides crucial habitat for various marine organisms. This project demonstrates the ecological value of prepared underwater structures.
