The International Cricket Council has approved significant format changes for its major men’s tournaments. The ODI World Cup will now feature a three-stage format before the knockout rounds begin. The T20 World Cup will expand to twenty teams with a new Super 10 stage. A new qualification pathway for the 2028 T20 World Cup has also been approved by the council.
