Bangladesh has requested India to extradite former minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. He fled the country amid the “2024 uprising” against the government. Kamal was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity by a tribunal. Dhaka also expects India to respond to extradition requests for other fugitives. The government stated that Hasina would face legal consequences if she surrenders.
