Five adopted Black children who endured horrific abuse and neglect at the hands of their white adoptive parents have been awarded a $4.4 million settlement from West Virginia following alleged CPS failures. Some children were forced to live in a shed without running water or a bathroom before authorities discovered them in 2023.
