After a century, Paris has reopened the River Seine for public swimming, a legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The reopening follows a €1.4 billion cleanup. Parisians, including a 95-year-old, celebrated the event at the new Bras Marie swim zone. Mayor Anne Hidalgo hailed it as a ‘childhood dream’ fulfilled, providing free access until August 31.
