The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s Palm Houses have undergone extensive restorations costing £23.5 million over the past five years. Researchers carefully replaced all 5,750 glass panes to ensure they withstand harsh weather conditions. Following this work, nearly 600 rare plant specimens have been replanted in the glasshouses. The restoration enables continued conservation, education, and scientific discovery efforts related to endangered flora.
