The Election Commission of India has issued a notice to K Kavitha regarding her new party’s name, Telangana Rakshana Sena. This follows over 1,100 complaints, including one from her former party, BRS, citing similarity to the erstwhile TRS. Despite accepting a name change, Kavitha retained the “TRS” initials, stating twenty years of their efforts were invested in that identity and the formation of Telangana state.
