The Municipal Corporation of Delhi plans to deploy 70 new road-sweeping machines by mid-November. This fleet will include 15 CNG-powered and 55 electric vehicles for better efficiency. MCD Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar is overseeing the field trials of these machines in the city. These self-propelled machines are imported from Europe and aimed at reducing dust pollution. The initiative is supported by the Delhi government’s environment department to improve road cleanliness.
