Explorer Ash Dykes’ team raised concerns after losing contact with him for more than 16 hours during his 434-mile journey through the Congo Basin. The 35-year-old Welsh adventurer is travelling from Nola in the Central African Republic to Mossaka in the Republic of Congo. His team later re-established contact through a Garmin satellite device after Starlink and his power bank failed. Limited connectivity continues to restrict updates from the remote expedition.
