Australia has successfully reintroduced almost 50 critically endangered smoky mice into South East Forest National Park. This reintroduction represents a significant step towards restoring the region’s ecosystem and native mammal populations. Various species, including the long-footed potoroo and eastern quoll, are also planned for reintroduction. The effort is part of a broader initiative by the NSW Government and conservationists.
