Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah stated statehood is foundational for restoring special status. He questioned the meaning of Article 370 without statehood for power sharing. The opposition PDP declined an invitation to protest for Article 370 restoration. Abdullah assured people the National Conference remains committed to its promises.
