Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday staged a protest outside Azim Premji University in Bengaluru, alleging that a campus event promoted separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. Protesters raised slogans and blackened the university’s nameplate. The university said the event was not authorised and did not take place, and added that some individuals forced entry into the campus, vandalised property, and assaulted guards and students before being detained by police.
