170 volunteers remove 43,000 pounds of trash from San Antonio dumping site

 Around 170 volunteers have removed 43,000 pounds of trash from a long-standing dumping site outside Converse in Bexar County. The property had previously been used as an encampment and had drawn years of complaints. The county initially received a $100,000 cleanup estimate before River Aid San Antonio organized volunteer efforts.
