A toxic gas leak at a mining site in Nigeria’s Plateau state has killed at least 37 people and hospitalized 26. Preliminary findings indicate a sudden discharge of lead oxide, sulfur, and carbon monoxide gases inside the mine. Authorities have closed the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
