Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin has accused former interim government chief Muhammad Yunus of plotting to overthrow him and destabilize the country. Shahabuddin alleged a secretive Bangladesh-US trade agreement and credited the military and BNP leadership for his presidency during Yunus’s tenure. Separately, a Yunus-appointed prosecutor was replaced amid ongoing legal proceedings.
