Immigration field officers have been asked to report 100-200 denaturalization cases per month in 2026 in a new and aggressive phase of Trump’s crackdown. Denaturalization or the process in which a US citizen loses citizenship is rare. But Trump confirmed that if he has the power to take away people’s citizenship, he would absolutely proceed with it.
