A Bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant and comprising Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana issued a show-cause notice to the commissioner, asking why contempt action should not be taken against him for failing to implement the court’s earlier orders. The court also rejected the commissioner’s request for more time, imposed costs of Rs 5 lakh and directed that salary payments to him.
