An Indiana landlord who won $6,200 from a former tenant over unpaid rent and apartment damage has had the award reduced to $2,400. In an October 29 ruling, the state appeals court found that the landlord had failed to provide the tenant with a written list of damages as required by law. The court allowed the unpaid rent claim but rejected the additional cleaning and repair costs.
