Egypt recently revealed a restored version of the Tondo of the Two Brothers painting at a press conference. The painting, created during the second century, is part of the Fayoum portrait collection. Italian and Egyptian experts collaborated for three weeks on the restoration project in Tahrir. A major exhibition will showcase the restored portraits in Rome from November through May 2027.
