Piotr Chmielinski and Joe Kane completed the Amazon’s full length by boat. They navigated 4,200 miles from source to sea, facing many dangers. The expedition endured rapids, altitude sickness, and armed groups along the way. Only four of the original eleven members reached the Atlantic Ocean. Kane and Chmielinski traveled nearly the entire distance by boat.
