Berlin’s Volksbuhne swimming pool has cancelled a planned event exclusively for Black communities after facing backlash over restricted access. The €300,000 temporary pool was due to close to the general public for six hours on August 14. Organisers cited security concerns, saying Black children and teenagers had faced right-wing and racist harassment at swimming events.
