6 killed as Russia rains missiles, drones on Ukraine; Kyiv renews plea for air defences

Recent missile and drone attacks from Russia have claimed the lives of six individuals and left many others wounded throughout Ukraine. In response to dwindling interceptor missile availability, Kyiv has made an emergency appeal for air defense systems. The strikes affected key locations, including Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Kyiv, with significant casualties in Sumy itself. While much of the aerial offensive was intercepted, ballistic missiles remained unchallenged.
