A woman’s remarriage has been upheld by the Kerala High Court, even though her ex-husband filed a late appeal against their divorce. The court ruled that since the husband missed the statutory deadline to appeal, the bar on remarriage never applied. The alimony award was, however, sent back for a fresh hearing, considering the wife’s new marital status.
