Low-cost carrier SalamAir has temporarily suspended flights to several Middle Eastern destinations, including Iraq, Lebanon and Iran, until March 28, 2026 and Kuwait City, Sharjah, Doha and Dammam until March 20, 2026. This decision stems from widespread airspace closures and safety concerns due to escalating geopolitical tensions, impacting thousands of travellers and forcing airlines to adjust operations.
