New York City has sued delivery app Motoclick for alleged wage theft while warning more than 60 platforms to comply with tougher worker protections by 26 January. Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration says minimum pay, tipping transparency, distance limits and safety rules will be enforced, signalling a crackdown on what it calls predatory practices across the delivery economy.
